dont wanna say much about
le tres bien and le non-so-bien parts of my life but i just
wanna take this post to chill, relax and dream again.

Shes a girl of fine social upbringing-

She is not judgemental,

thinking of starting a new blog =/

perhaps after i get my A level results- it shall herald in
a new chapter in my life, muahaha.

well, i got startedd on my new job today.

currently i m working as a tutor-cum-cafe-waiter-girl.
no srsly. hahas!
first admin clerk, now waiter-girl. (waitress sounds..strange)
i have to admit though,
its not too bad.

first up, the people are friendly ^^
second, we get to eat the food in the cafe! (helloo blueberrymuffin)
thirdly, i finally get the opportunity to work in the F&B industry!

wow. my past dream to set up my own Tuition centre, Restaurant
and to work in the Healthcare centre is test-driving itself on the
course of my eighteenth year of existence!

1. m working as a tutor.
2. helped nurses find job assignments in hosp/clinics.
3. m now working also as a waiter-girl.

today i also went to HoGc for CHC Prayer Morning!
there were enough people to start service! it was like
HoGc, year 2020- where youths become successful adults.

then had piano lessons with Ms G-
thanks to anime The Piano Forest i am inspired to practise more!
must practise more on my melodic scales.
and play louder.

lastly, have been reading a book by John Maxwell;
titled The Winning Attitude.
Just think-
Your attitude is your advanced man.
Its roots grow inward, and its fruit outward.
Like a plane, it determines your performance
(the attitude indicator button)

I think Moses had a great attitude.

just came back from GB Reunion Dinner!
super fun cuz it was just five of us
sharing zi char in that 80s old-time bugis shoppe
hahas this is the first all out dinner gathering with
my church friends for a long time, and i m very
appreciative of it!

Times like these make me feel the warmth of a
second family ^^

i cant believe its the first day of Feburary already.

CNY celebrations have been a blast!

I shall look back upon these memories as treasured ones

particularly poignant becuz i decided to take the first leap
of faith and started socializing with people

very happy because

i finally started chatting with my childhood friends after
losing contact

and also made new friends!

my cousins and relatives also got to know me better, and vice
versa =)

my boss gave me an angpao, and my mentor bought me a currypuff!

also God (and mummys pills) healed my strained knee.

now to wait for the slight rash and bruised hip to heal =)

Revelation: i cannot let myself be determined by what i cant do,
but what i can.

i saw an eighty year old lady today who could
straight off remember her friends house numbers.

a completely lucid veteran who seemed to care
less about her age and more about how to enroute
travel to her next destination.

and she smiled often too, naturally.

i think she should be a leading icon for Spore's growing
pool of senior citizens.

and

sometimes i think people shouldn be so afraid of things
that really-
when you think about it,

arent worth being afraid of at all.

things that made me happy today:

practicing piano with sis

waving my dad off to work

eating 'pizza' for breakfast with my mum
(homemade crisp toast with tomato paste n cheese)

walking to TP central with my sis

stepping out of my mrt station to head to work-

the feeling of morning-breeze- soft- sunlight weather
walking along wide empty streets is incredible.

working in the office. cool huh!

reading novels in the large bookstore nearby.

Artmeis Fowl 's latest book! i ve read Eoin Colfer since
i was in secondary school and i m still entralled by
the wonder genius Artemis.
(in this edition, he is actually as old as me ^^)

bus-ing home and just pondering my thoughts.

eating dinner with my family.

the anticipation of giving tuition tomorrow.

yeapps! =)

and the revelation that talking about nasty/ depressing
topics over meals make ur food taste bad!

Last weekend, Pastor Lia preached this.
Four days later, i m still thinking about her sermon.

My last three years in church have been a reflection
of this. People able to live extraordinarily for Christ.

Even as i think about it;
i realise it is near impossible that you can find people
of the same characteristic so easily, in the same place.

i realise it is not just my church mates themselves
but because they have God with them.
When you love Jesus, people know it.
They feel it because
its like a part of you already.

some things just never cease to amaze me.

MY DREAM FOR 2009:

she sips a glass of sparkling white grape juice victoriously.

Armed with a powerful resume and that determined glint
in her eyes accumulated from countless work
and volunteer experiences, she confidently sails through
her first year in NUS college with HONOURS-

No doubt wiser, more mature and ever more in love with God
she strucks people with that aura of humility and love
that juxtaposes with that undefeatable businesswoman ethnic
she possesses naturally.

As a team leader in Generations bookstore and Livefeed Crew
she handles the busy weekends and busier weekdays with
calm ease and a surreal joy eminating from one who has
found and experienced the neverending fountain of faith.

She is close with her Connect Group, and ensures she spends
time to fellowship with all her good friends.
A year has past-
a year that involved securing a Grade 8 for Piano
a year that involved successfully learning to drive
a year that involved writing and speaking Chinese well
a year that involved growing my own business
a year that invloved lots of growing up whilst staying young
a year that involved becoming one of the official spokesperson
for the SINGAPORE YOG 2010!

yes, i am grateful for securing two jobs.

i know there are many who do not have
this security; the knowledge of being able to
carve a living for ones own life.
a thirst for independence fulfilled.

the many interviews
the many job scouting sessions

in the beginning-
that youthful confidence
then after falling a few times
the slow gloom
the disppointment of we'll-call-you-laters
the fluttering of hopes' wings when
a walk-in began.

many tell me how i should spend my time
many try to change my mind-

but will they ever understand?

do they think my thoughts?
do they know who i really am?

i do not justify my actions
nor do i see people as bad or good,
indeed
people are always a little of both.

but Jesus knows.
100% man, 100% God.
He gave me these jobs;
Hs voice i hear, but when i listen-

do the words take on a second meaning?

I need not look for jobs?
because He has already secured me one. (or two ^^)

finally, a blog with archives.
now i can go back in time conveiniently.

my life is effectively termed: busy.

on sat- first church service after 3 weeks!
did i mention how great hannah is?
she was the first one to hug me when i got back.
meixin the second- gawd i love them both ^^

on sun- we went to sentosa!
was great to chill out with my church mates again
waiting in the cool blue-hued harbourfront station
and just crapping together with cass and meixin..
playing hard at captains ball-
it felt like the good ol' badminton days again.
best players were easily xue yan and elgay-
one is too fit and the other too tall,
though i d say
teamwork always save the day ^^
the sun was like a happy drug-
cass and i were completely drunk
and suntanned at the end- heading back
to vivo and laughing like nutcases XD
tried dontaing blood later too
but my iron content was too low =X
tie-doggie-balloons-behind-my-back dude
made me a green dog balloon tho-
so it wasnt so bad.

on mon- me and my friend watched twilight!
i thought it was so cool how edward was
showing off his predator skills in the forest-

we skipped the bbq later cuz we
felt so dead beat (had enough energy
to go shopping around orchard tho in the end)

went to sing plaza to meet ver, mer and james!
hahas we went to watch Yes man!
dont know why i saw so many ny people
well first the gang, yes.
then jason and ericia, el couple watching
the same movie.
then joyce with her friends eating at cathay.
then heng xiong and his guy friends when we
were entering the theatres.
jim carrey acted well in this show and i found myself
hurtling out of my seat laughing.
then talk more in the comfort of ben and jerrys
mini disco den.

do i fill my life with activities on purpose?
i dont think so.
i wouldn enjoy it so much then ^^

the first thing i felt was a gust.

last day i m enjoying a full hotel suite
complete with
a full kitchen (not those fake table-top kinds
but with an oven, and a
stove for pots and pans and cutlery)
a living room with a sofa tt unfolds into a second bed
with a tv with 36 channels including HBO, Cinemax
and starmovies.
a bedroom with a king-sized pristine white soft bedwraps
a bathroom with a bathtub tt can be filled to the brim.
two phone sets to call the recep for extra pillows
the perogative to mess up the whole place
go out and play the whole day
and come back to find it cleaned and neat again.

there are many places and sights i ve seen these two weeks
but a place i ll miss terribly is the one

right where i d call in Shanghai-
my (luxury) home away from home.

Thank you Lord for this place and my parents who love
me and my siblings so much they are willing to foot the bill.

some stuff you d probably never knew about
China:

1. Babies-Toddlers are treated almost like royalty.
(thanks to a la one-child policy)
and they all look so darn rosy-cheeks cute- its unbelivable.

2. The streets are the scariest.
green light or not, motorists
have full right to curve round bends and streets in Shanghai
horning is mandatory to gently remind pedestrians to get out of the way
unless you wanna foot his/her hospital bills.

3. Taxis have a plastic cover to protect the cabbie, seperating him from
onboard passengers. (quite laudable, Spore should too)

4. you know the saying, if every China natioinal were to spit on you,
you d drown?
its lucky i can swim.

(a little exaggerated, but spitting is a bad habit-
still not stomped out proper)

5. Bargaining. its one of the biggest mental pyschological games
you can play in the wonder shopping lanes of China.
eg. i got a wallet from 180 yuan (opening price) to 30 yuan!
but its hard work, really.
tip: better to get the shopkeeper to like you than put down
the price by comparing it to cheap fake trash.

6. Smoking. 2 out of 3 people i estimate, smoke.

7. China has really improved from the past.
the restaurants i ve been to have koi in mini riverlets
with small bridges too to walk over them- and you pay about
as much compared to high-class foodcourt dishes!
Subway is also twice as cheap (admittedly, the subs were on offer)
i went to toilets where i didnt want to leave.
(Hyatt Hotel, Hangzhou)
ps. sadly i didnt stay there =X

8. The biggest bookstore in Shanghai is a full SEVEN storeys large.
okayy cant think of much else now

oh! and the people can be very...feisty.
or, independent.
all myths about demure, quiet Shanghai women are kinda blown away
when you see how well-dressed and sophisticated they dress.
and they will fight!
with loud voices and all, men and women.
something i admire actually, the ability not to be cowed,
and to fight back for what you believe in.

the example i saw was not very good though, it was a lady tout
trying to give illegal tour services. (not a official tour guide)
she and the police park rangers were fighting so loudly
she was forcibly chased out by at least 2-3 of them.

even then, she was still yelling.

anyway, i have spent the last 5 days in China!

today was fun ^^
why?
i found a whole five yuan note on the mrt!
(its one dollar plus in Sing really)

but i had it converted to one jiao (cent) coins
and then i dropped one into any beggars tin cup i saw!
lemme tell you
theres a LOT of beggars for such a rich city.

some lay smack prostate in the middle of the pavements
some (the women) carry their young children
some are disabled
soem are truly dishellved and unkempt
some sneak into eateries and restaurants
to get kicked out by staff
and push themselves on rusty wheelchairs
some dont have wheelchairs.
they sit on cardboard and hold plaques
some kowtow continously
some kneel in front of you at a crowded traffic junction
the elderly can be the most heartwrenching
when you give money to one
more can follow you right across roads
tugging at your warm snug jacket sleeves

and in the busy weekend crowd
in the frigid winter of three degree coldness
through the glass windows of posh restaurants
where groups dine of huge tang baos and
feast on delicacies-
in the midst of throngs of people
everyone studiously ignores you./

think you ve got troubles again?

this is not a one-sided attack-
there are many things that i love about China
great food
fantastic shopping (bargains galore)
close family time exploring the emerging superpower
of the world.

but of all the things that irk me-
this is probably the one that impacts me most.

ok this post is a little pessimistic i admit
but-
welcome to the real world.

anyways, i rushed down straigh after to take part in the
once in a lifetime event Asia Conference 2008!!

was lucky enough to see Pastor Phil Pringle
praying for the leaders of diferent denominations and
COUNTRIES. seriously people all throughout ASIA
flew in to attend too!
Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Phillipines Indonesia
and more! It was amazing- at first sight, it was
startling to see him praying in such a vigorous manner
for the people-
soon there was such a refreshing calm;
even in the overflow room where i was watching him-

truly it takes a man of God to pull down Gods presence!

ps, even more amazing when Pastor Kong shared
how Pastor Phil once prayed over him as a scrawny teen-
and now he s the chairperson hosting the entire event!

its amazing how CHC even tried providing lunch and dinner
to an entire congregation of nearly 8000!
and they really did it!

next memorable event was when i went for the 2 electives!
made friends with Eunice and Kelvin! ^^
really impressed by their warmth and love even tho
we barely knew one another
and a phrase that stuck with me when i left:

How do you serve both God and man?

Both require sacrifices when serving, but because
you LOVE GOD, and you LOVE PEOPLE,
you naturally want to please and bless them both.

the coffee in my veins makes it hard for me to even think of
sleeping now..
amazingly everyone in my family is sound asleep
although we all drank coffee; a la THE BOSS just two hours ago
at eleven pm 0.o

today was a great dayy ^^
spent morning with my mum and sis
studied with my tuition buds
getting a cronking headache trying to mug with
almost church-service like decibel 98.7FM music in the
background with tables of loud, loudd fellow muggers in mos
(burger, not pub XD)

then went to changi! ^^ hohos
then we went for dinner together
(the fish soup i had was of a rare standard i have yet to compare to
any other)

then listened to pastors sermon cd!
realised that sometimes it is way too easy to see
the flaws in others...
but when you do just that,
ask yourself if you arent describing yourself first?

cuz the flaws in others are actually your own.

also what Pastor said this week was really inspiring...

the opportunities we miss in our lives can actually
come to us again if we stay true and have
faith
conviction
character
commitment

wow. and you can be sure that these missed opportunities,
if realised, God actually planned to prepare you not to miss
the NEXT ONE.

God is a genius XD

He is caliberating our roads to our destiny in Christ!

today i was at the official opening ceremony of the

J1 promos!! (or so darryl puts it XD)

hahahs it was super cool la.. being able to see my juniors

taking their first major exams in their JC life

and though mine is COMING SOON, it was wonderful

just to be able to be

a clear voice of reason and encouragement then

(kinda like when your able to lend a shoulder for your

friend to cry on cuz u arent going through the same deep

**** he or she is going through) so yea i baked muffins!

celebrated in style today after my bio mcq paper

honestly we were so pysched-

ahhs the exuberance and dynamic spirit that is youth

jose and i even picked up jin quan along the way!

so three of us headed to orchard togged in casual

note: it was super terrible, but tt was what may it fun too

just dissing the terrible parts and having fun

i have a confession to make./

i think a lot about food a lot sometimes. its like when im
doing math of something that i cant solve easily sometimes

then i let my mind get distracted by little things like that.

thank goodness Pastor taught us how to take leadership of

today was an absolutely wonderful day spent on
celebrating the end of my mid years!

originally it was supposed to be a shopping trip
but plans shifted so Plan B came into action!

man i missed times like these =)

1. cleaned the house in less than 2 hours!
washed dishes, cleared the clutter in the living room..
so proud i told my mum my toilet cleaning skills had
reached fourth dimension ^^

2. headed off to TP central to the library!
borrowed books to help me improve my tech skills
hmm cant remain tech noob all my life now can i?
then met Gail who helped me
register as a REACH member! (goodies included) hahas

3. next did shopping! hahahs in NTUC!! hahahs tried
looking for decent clothes to buy but i must have very
high standards becuz none of the cheap thin cotton so
prevalent in clothes nowadays appealed to me =X

4.on the way home helped two guys
find their way to a place ^^ talking to them somehow
was very easy- its strange but i find talking to
people i do not know very easy?
hmm must say i m blessed to know so many
beautiful people-

like Venessa! hahahas was hanging out at her
house 'mugging' together- and its just so amazing
to have so many great friends in my life!

im gonna sidetrack again!
God is good!! nearly shouted this at the bus stop at 9+pm
whilst chatting to a friend becuz i had been
praying specifically for a bus to come (by the third bus,
and not a double decker) and alto by the second bus i was
having a little doubt, God really answered my prayers
and gave me my 154 according to all my requests!

5. felt nostalgic buying peppermint bread ice cream from
the traditional mobile ice cream truck.
then watched L saves the world!
am amazed at his selflessness- he noes he s dying
but he still went through so much to salvage planet Earth
and its people!

hahahs cant believe the june hols are already drawing
to a close! monumentally the last june hols of my tertiary
education years before i head for NUS!!

business so i can start my own company in a few years HAHAA!
and science so i can be a researcher or work in the medical industry
(though my chem teacher
would probably laugh his head off first but hes a great teacher so

have finally broken my blogger status quo silence!
gosh regarding my last one post about improving results:

i passed my latest chem re-test, so there. =)
finally back after five intense(not) days of PRE U SEMINAR 2008!!
and seriously i had the time of my life!
hahahs
it truly was an amazing and humbling experience to get to
know people of different tertiary institutions
and make so many new friends! XD hahahs i know
i used to stereotype people (a little) but now i find that
its really just YOU that matters, and not where you come from!
which is quite revelational seriously.
btw, you have to give credit for the effort the organisers
put in- everything went so flawlessly it was like a dream!
*gushes and rambles on about the SIX MEALS A DAY
we had- with lunch and tea breaks BUFFET STYLE*

feel really inspired to blog about every single person in SG 21-
faust! sze hui! wang di! vanessa! chan! sid! luke! john!abraham!
and so many more!!
and i must say its inspiring to see how people from different
backgrounds can come together and unite as a team;
to witness first-hand
the potential of youth in changing and developing the landscape of
Singapore(politically, socially, economically)

into a GLOBAL CITY; HOME FOR ALL.
then it was Pastor Lias service on sat!!

to be significant, not just successful!! really impacted by Pastor Lia
s preaching, especially to let love be a driving force in my life!
throughout this week ive realised some of my strengths and my
weaknesses that i have to change.. really want to overcome them
because some of these burdens have become like stones to me-
and i know i can be free now because God can take care of them
when i cant carry them any further...

still, one day i ll look back on them and laugh!

1. Insecurity.
2. Trust.
3. Fear and Worry.
4. Low self esteem
5. Over-estimation and complacency

i guess any normal human being has these flaws too-
but i can change! especially since identifying the problem is
halfway to solving it ^^

as well as i had hoped, seeing others with faith achieve less than
expected, and many other pains and hurts i didnt understand.

i still dont, but i pray that God will help me to one day =)

looking back, i want to think like the fifteen year old
i was back then...
a fifteen years old faith, with seventeen years of experience
and nearly three incredible years in my walk with Jesus...
and believing again that

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PASTOR LIA!!
hahahahs bdae celebrations L.I.A 2.0 were AWESOME!!

sadd the chocolate friands i baked
were more like chocolate rock-hard
munchies that i didnt give Pastor in the end...
but i did shake Pastors hand when we wished her Happy Birthday!

the performances and videos were SUPER FUNNY XD
and the heart and effort put in it were tremendous
oh me goodness feel really blessed to be in HoGc 2.0
and having such great CG mates (brethren, yo)

laughed like crazy at the post productions team videos
and the leaders indian dances and songs!

and best of all was when we prayed and sang Chinese worship songs
and Matt Redmanns The Heart Of Worship
i cant even begin to describe how powerful that was-

today s celebrations for Pastor Lia really opened my eyes
to how much she had sacrificed and built HoGc with Pastor How
feel really touched to see her and Rinah together!

Rinah is super cute!! any normal toddler would have cracked
under so much pressure but she takes it well in her stride hahahs

MY PASTORS ARE THE BEST!! ^^

really had a great worship session yesterday-
just being able to sing praise songs with the CG
and feel Gods presence again in my heart..
honestly the past week has not been easy-
not just in terms of workload and time management
but obstacles in my relationships with people...

am thankful for the stress on my friendships in school
i know God wants to put me through this test because
i myself know i put way too much trust in my
relationships with people...ultimately i know thats just
asking for disappointment because our expectations
for people will always fail... the key point is what you
learn from it, and whether you re still able to stick
to what you believed in from the start.

think i learnt somethingugly about myself too from this
period, though duh im not gonna say it hahahas
really thankful for last nights worship session and
fellowship with the CG people, Samanthas preaching
Picnic at the al frescos,...really i spend too little
time with my spiritual family sometimes,
though im thankful that they take me for who i am
cuz most of the time im MIA hahahs

really saw what God could do for me yesterday...

previously i would have been a messed up smut right
before the performance and probably majorly turned it
into a nightmare-bizzare reality mixture

the dragon tangling, and Lord knows a million other
things that could go horribly wrong...

but instead all i could feel was a sense of assurance
knowing that God would fulfil His promise, and He did! ^^
Synergy 2008 was a success! ^^ hahahs thanks to the Pugi
Society Dragon Dance!
those edgy last hours of bolted dinner, missing equipment
and persona, hearty slaps on the back and 'dont-stress-ah lynn's XD
pulled through into a magnifique 5 minute performance!

cant describe how relieved i felt and so thankful for those
calls from the audience, my friends calling my name and
praising the performance...

also really grateful for the B i got in PW (a most pleasant shock)

hahahas i wanna fight bigger wars now-
not just to do my best in a school performance, but bigger battles

fighting against my insecurities of Studies (still working the kinks in
Chemistry and Math out..)
i needed that wake-up call so bad...
fighting for causes i know are worthy to be fought...
and not against the wrong ones...
even fighting myself!

but im not complaining cuz its my first ever!

given that chem is my weakest subject
its a major step forward!

cant fill that void of being spiritually empty

and i guess its true you can only be hungry when you

were fed and filled before, because being numb of the presence

of God is terrifying. Just that word describes it already- numb.

you cant feel His presence cant hear His voice, and worse,

you know that Hes not there.

and thats when you start realised that its because you ve covered

it with prioritizing it with so many other things...

and so thank God when you take a step towards Him, He takes
a million towards us because its true,

that even if its the smallest and tiniest of voices

its His voice from the depths of Your heart speaking...

dont really care if nobody understands me, but thats just

how i feel... and thats why i treasure my time with God more now

thinking of the times He pulled me up, again and again...

i can still remember my very first blog post since i was
secondary one.
hahahahs gosh-
it was about haute couture cuisine!
which was as aesthetically pleasing
as the intricate and elaborate interior design of the
high-class restaurant i dined in that night. ^^

and today marks my 430th blog post!'
wont delve into this week's awesome details
but i would like to commemorate this post by
writing sometime above average of the norm instead.

i realise that life sometimes isnt meant to be lived
according to peoples expectations.
sometimes life shouldnt be lived with a facade.
sometimes life isnt about worrying about the next exam
results, or the one thousand and one things that
seem to be going wrong.
sometimes life will throw you obstacles,
and it might hurt, but thats
what makes things interesting.
sometimes life will give you precious treasures,
and remember to use it, so you can buy even
bigger and better things with it, or it will tarnish
and rot in a corner.
sometimes life isnt about what people think of you
,but what you think of yourself.
and of course, i love my life!
and i think that God is AMAZING!!
like do you know the first thing you can think of
when you have a hypodermic syringe stuck under
the flap of your skin is to yearn how to talk to God and
really hope that he ll take care of the situation;
or that when you can actually feel yourself freeze in
time when you trip and fall, but somehow
automatically kicks off the ground and ends up fine?
or that incredible things just happen to you,
good and bad( which, ultimately, is also for my own good!)

and i talked to many good friends, have many good friends
and at age 17, only has to worry over sustaining

about drug abuse, financial difficulties, whether i have
enough food to stay from dying or suffering severe gender
discrimination in some male chauvinistic pig third-world country.
plus, i love my church people and my God!
my God is AWESOME AND BIG AND GREAT!!!
if you dont believe he exists find me and i will

Jesus is Alive! and May the Holy Spirit guide and live in
my brethren!

and the second would be to reflect and immerse in some
deep sombre thinking.
like A levels. and also
talking with terence today was making me rethink my
position in my CCA.
as much as it is a rather thorny issue- but being the only
girl out of the 29th batch of Pugilistic Society has been
more of a blessing than a ...well, not curse, but issue.
studying in an all girls school for 9 years did not help-
but looking back, i wonder if God had a bigger plan for me.

in a subtle way, i did have more influence.
and also, i guess guys arent as alien as i used to think
they were ^^ hahahahs
though very different from girls they are!
i hope i ll be able to make a greater impact in my CCA
and on the people around me;
not just as any normal person they re bound to forget in the
next, say five, ten years?

but i bet if i can live my life to the fullest in God's plan,
and do my best in everything i set to achieve-
im sure that i could even change their lives!
and they re all gonna be better and mature people! =)

which, at first step, i would be to stop encouraging
their using vulgar language!

with two days left before school begins-
i must say, i have partied in true style!
tres invigorating.

hahahahs and today is the first day i have
made a batchful of oven-baked chicken nuggets,
crabsticks with pancakes wraps,
egg-mayo sandwiches with Team Cooks! ^^

the first time i have plunged into the sea in sentosa
the first time i have gone half-crazy splashing and
throwing sand-balls at people (uber fun hahahs!)
the first time i had a impromtu picnic on siloso beach
the first time i was covered in sand lying on my stomach
and when it was raining in droplets the size of bullets-
i could continue walking in the rain and
i could completely not care! hahahas its really cool!
i could go on and on mans-
but i realized that i am thankful for the experiences i had
every single one-
positive and negative
and thank You Lord for being with me every single moment,
even if i couldn feel You all the time.

heres to a more purposeful Life-
with increasing wisdom, stature, in favor with God and men.

i think its safe to say that i have changed.

looking forward into the future,
it feels like im staring at a new fresh blank sheet of paper.

sweet memories, while a new one soon begins.

what can i say of this past year?

i really must Thank Him,
for every experience and person i ve met-
every obstacle and celebration;
be it every test and its failure or triumph
be it every singular revelation or moment;

thats brought me further into my walk with God.

so that i am uber pampered by my mum and dad right now! ^^

went shopping with my mum at Robinsons (so claustrophobhic!)
and, at age 17,
i have my first pair of stylish, classic gray-sheened
business-suit pants!! hahahs!
and at the low, low cost of only $23!!
and then lounging in starbucks watching passerbys-
while really chomping on
soyabean n peanut mee jiang kueh (sogood) =)

then went jogging with me dad-
(i daresay no man at my dads age can
be half as competent as he is)
and then headed to the librarys where he insisted
on helping me search for calculus textbooks to improve
my integration!
and then watched two hours of Click, the movie!
(we rented it)- this rates high on my movie score;
so please watch if you lack the ability to appreciate the good
things you have in your life-(and of course that doesnt mean YoU)

as if it wasnt enough to have an immense near 800 strong crowd;

the praise and worship with Pastor Lia AND Joanne! (angelschorus)

or Selwyn's academic excellence ( I know the guy! XD)
who broke the record for a ThreePointN-Level result-
the best ever in TEN YEARS! 0.o God works wonders!

and Christian's AMAZING testimony;
(i never knew he was a Swiss National Player Judo Champion!!)

AND Pastor How's power-packed message;
the beginning message of the 9 types of Love!

this was especially cool cuz we all learnt alot from this!

1. People have different levels and standards of Love.
2. People often place a Value on others.
3. People often love others for their extrinsic value.
4. God's level of Love? (willing to send His only Son to die for our sins!)
which is like, woah!
to God, everyone is Valuable, no matter what he/she might be like.
5. Loving is Giving. (half-love or stingy love is not love friends)
6. The more you seek love, the more you cant get it.
yet the more you give it, the more you have! cool right? =D

and of course a highlight was walking back with Joyce, where
i met my Primary school friend Priscilla! (she remembers me!)
apparently, i *ahems* look just the same.

which can be a good thing! XD
and shes in Zone C2! aiyiyi- God is Great!
hoping to catch up with her soon! XD

then went for me family dinner, and i gotta say,
my grandmother makes the best crispy batter-fried prawns
i have EVER eaten in my life.
and everything else she cooks makes
the best restaurant cuisine look like...mymostamateurattempt
at fried rice.

which can be pretty pathetic. (tip:dont use leafy veggies.)

and gosh i love my cousins XD
they re so cute!! and i always spoil them silly. ^^

goodness it was so cool cuz besides the fact that those

and endearing that each time i see them again, i feel that
they ve grown so much in the little ways,
including in our friendship ^^

finally back from TAIWANN!! =D
manns am completely exhausted from the uber
hectic schedule; but it was a really
amazing experience! Am glad cuz i really bonded with
my sisters and family throughout the trip-
(especially me little sis! ^^ hohos)

letsee; heres me summary of the entire trip!
Taiwan is a country rich and vibrant in culture,
from preserving and carving a brand name for some of
its national treasures; the Lingzhi Fungi, powdered
deer foetus, Royal Bee Jelly and SK I
from tracing back to their first aboriginal roots,
in history- from 50 years spent under the
Japanese rule politics, economically-
with a large part spent on agriculture and as a new
cosmoplitan trading hub and capitalistic society-
and also in Food-
which was an entirely new and refreshing experience! =D
oh my goodness, with just a few to name-
ranging from chou(stinky) tofu, freshly deep-fried and
covered in a spicy chilli-and-cabbage topping
to blended bittergourd bubble tea; all of which taste GOOOD ^^

loved the hotels we stayed in hahahas- XD
the best one?
think your OWN PRIVATE JAPANESE SPA
in your personal hotel room!! ^^
its about the size of Half a room!
then think three oversized fluffy soft
beds and a plasma TV with 55 channels with HBO, Star Movies
Travel and Living and Disney Channels-
and thats about as good as The Good Life gets! XD

It was so cool cuz QT meant praying out loud with my sisters
(well at least with my sisters were listening)
and also got many strange revelational experiences-
including a feng shui reading and a 'Christian' EV
of course it was pretty crazy.

these few days being unable to speak have been most
insightful.

turns out i caught a bacterial form of laryngitis

admittedly, its not something to be proud of-
but i love the way how
the consumerism advocates of
thousands of uber-hot multi-national coporations
invest billions of
dollars just to get people into this warm, fuzzy
christmasy-holiday mood. =)

like christmas jingles in NTUC 0.o
and brilliantly wrapped presents dangling all over
and cliche sprayed frost on the window fronts
and christmas wreaths and cascading silk adorning
the entire place.

but lets not forget the ultimate point:
Its Jesus's BIRTHDAY!!! =D

i have severe mixed emotions regarding this issue.
mostly evoking vocabulary such like

festering, bloody-raw and curdled.

yes, dear friends, today im going to tell you my
personal vendetta with Insecurity.

pretty simple word, no?
fear. and look what this single feeling does to us?
where does jealousy and envy stemmed from?
where does anger and hatred burn forth?
where does hurt and disappointment spring forth?
i could go on and on-
how it tears people and their lives apart;
how it pulls people from their loved ones!
how it sows doubt, greed and bitterness-
how it blinds, deafens, mutes and
renders a person completely defensive,
yet totally weak and vulnerable.

is it possible to be completely secure?
i believe so, yes!
How? (PastorHow!hehehs ^^)
to simply trust completely in the King of Kings
and the Lord of Lords-
Jesus Christ! (yeh, and thats the truth!)
He understands, and He heals.
He knows, and He forgives.
He comforts and He loves.
every single thing you have felt- worry, fear,
doubt, anger, jealousy, emotional, stressed.

guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus,
whose peace surpasses all understanding-

He is perfect.

my little sister asked me if i belived in perfection.
i said, no.
so God is not perfect.
i am not perfect, But God is perfect.
God is not perfect, he made mistakes.
so what did you think is God's mistake?
He created Satan.

friends, i believe God did not create Satan.
certainly, i know that if He willed,
the Devil would have never even existed.
i do not count myself worthy to decide why there
is evil and cruelty in this world, but certainly i believe;

that there will come a day of Judgement.
and when that day comes,

all will be brought to light.

dear Lord, i know that its too easy for me to delete this post.
i can easily press the 'delete' button- and i would not
care if people will be upset or offended or such.

but i really hope that this helped someone; who has found
an answer in this post for the question in his/her heart.

and today was my birthday!
i dont think i ve really ever had a better one ^^
THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS FOR EVERYTHING!!!

really- i feel so blessed! hahahahas
i finally felt like i could flow in the Spirit! so much fresh manna-
so many new revelations! everyday you amaze me Lord!

i finally understand the flowing of the Spirit!
Pastors and Leaders dreaming of a People ready to be on fire for Jesus!
People willing to be different, selfless!
not just an outward change, but leading a life reflecting Christ!
having the same thoughts. Love. Faith. Hope.

realised all along i hated conformity and being of the mould you know?
like i would always be the opposite; just to stand out./
never blend in like the rest; my secret subconscious.
i will change. now i know of a life better than my past, and i know You.
to be bold and confident. loving people, pleasing God.

then i realised the need to flow! more than just clothes or actions;
but thoughts and mindsets! to be part of a DreamTeam-
all prepared to conquer and achieve a common goal!
and what a goal! was so touched when i knew of the Phillipines
missionary trip! had always wanted to be part of something like this-
and now we are- giving a new life to those who want to start anew.
children with a better future. limitless possibilities and a hope to live./
inspite of drugs prostitution crime abusive drunk parents corruption-
fear.
not now. a vision impacting peoples lives. kinda makes life in Spore
seem so blissfully ignorant and paradise-like dont you think?

and yet we still are so wrapped up in our bubble-like insecurities.
me included, im uber stunned. whatareyouthinkinggirl- i have NO right
to be unhappy or upset or petty or selfish or ungracious or cold and rude.

not when i have been so blessed! not just today, but every single moment-
having a life many dream of living.
tertiary education. food. so much food! and clean water? and luxuries.
handphone. computer, tv. comics. moneytospend. piano. and tuition?
electricity. and i have so much to be thankful for- and friends? family, relatives?
dont even get me started!

its flabbergasting.
today i celebrate my 17th birthday.
but really, its now so much more to me than that.

once, i thought birthdays were insignificant, and superficial.
all that candles and cake, greed for presents and attention.
and purposeless parties? hmm. and it happens every year!

so untrue! now i know the real meaning of birthdays!
we celebrate our bithdays because they signify our lives.

every single life has the potential to be different, to impact this
very world in its own unique way!
just think- our very lives can change the world!
i want to leave my footprint on this Earth-making my mark.
i know that footprint might or might not disappear, given time.

but i want it at least to have inspired others.
at the very least to have made a difference in people's lives.

ooh went window shopping with jess today!
hahahs and yes its been such an awesome week!! ^^

chemistry tuition with dear hann on mon and tues
if all my students were like her i d consider teaching a
serious career option (Rawk on girl- Jia YOU!!) =D
wed was a good portion of traipsing along
bugis street with syl,nao and (sam+friend) XD
plus a good dose of Contemporary Piano Lessons
thurs was great!- The Meeting and hanging out
with the drama banana-rama family in HoGc
and fri was spent without regrets XD

first off was how i did impromtu presentation-
which is horrible. please learn from me-
neeever try to present OP without planning thoroughly.
never!

and after that we headed to bishan-
ohmygoodness we ransacked the library to amass this
huge mountain of books- oh and
John C Maxwell rocks! ^^ and then we read books like
How to Dream and Why I Love You and
Gift Wrapping and Doll Making, Fun Crafts and such!
did you know crepes use a lot of eggs? no?
now you do XD
i mean, four eggs for a single recipe man- its like
black-forest-cake standards!
and then we read some more-
altogether totalling 2 and a 1/2 hours!
THen we went shopping. =)
bought a PRAISE AND
WORSHIP CD FOR $4.90-and its the last one!!
such a steal- XD
hahahas then we went to almost all the clothes shop
in j8 and tried looking for tank tops and good bargains!
oh and jess likes good jewellery! *so do i! ^^
its really funny- i saw a ring that costs
$1038 as Ten Dollars! gosh tt was embarrasing-
it meant 10 karats i think;
of course the sales man was
really nice about it when i asked- so thumbs up for
the flourishing spore service industry then! XD
gonna learn bead jewellery from
lil kitty soon- alright! i m making my own!!
hahahas exciting! =)
